Hollywood leaders will honor actor Larry Hagman at 1 p.m. Saturday when they place flowers on his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hagman’s star is at 1560 N. Vine St. It was placed on the terrazzo sidewalk in 1981 as his hit series ‘Dallas’ was captivating the world, a spokeswoman for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said.

His star is next to that of his late mother, the screen and stage star Mary Martin.
Hagman died Friday of complications of cancer in Dallas. He is best known for playing two vastly different roles: Capt. Tony Nelson, the goodhearted astronaut ‘master’ on “I Dream of Jeannie,” and J.R. Ewing, the Texan millionaire audiences loved to hate on “Dallas.”
