Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights was placed on lockdown Wednesday after a person overheard a conversation in a bathroom that suggested someone might be carrying a loaded gun on campus.
The potential threat was reported to school officials shortly before 9 a.m. and the campus at 15235 E. Los Robles Avenue was immediately locked down.
Hacienda-La Puente Unified school police combed the campus aided by sheriff’s deputies.
Students were directed to ‘shelter in place’ in their classrooms.
