Kate Hudson and fiance Matt Bellamy have chosen a baby name: Bingham Hawn Bellamy, or ‘Bing’ for short.

‘So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham ‘Bing’ Hawn Bellamy. Born 7Ib 12Oz, on 9th July,’ the Muse frontman said Thursday on Twitter.

While it might sound a tad celebrity-wacky, there’s actually family logic behind the choice, Bellamy explained. His mom’s maiden name was Bingham, and her mom’s -- well, Kate’s mom is Goldie Hawn. Hudson was raised by Hawn and her longtime partner Kurt Russell, whose dad is Bing Russell.

‘Family connections all round!,’ Bellamy said.

Despite having delivered son Ryder Robinson -- her child with ex-husband Chris Robinson -- via C-section seven years ago, Hudson mixed it up this time around and, according to Bing’s dad, went through ‘4.5 hours of intense pushing.’
