By popular request, here’s the past and present look at Westchester 90045 median home sales prices from DMA DataQuick. They sort by ZIP Code, not community, so this includes all single-family home sales in 90045.

2002 478 $469 14.4%
2003 465 $530 13.0%
2004 437 $649 22.5%
2005 396 $750 15.6%
2006 352 $785 4.7%
2007 307 $750 -4.5%
Since there aren’t enough sales in October to paint a very complete picture, I’ve added a few months previous. Take it for a sampling.
These percentage drops are from the same month in 2007:

04/2008 22 $720 -7.8%
05/2008 15 $777 -4.4%
06/2008 25 $774 1.5%
07/2008 20 $693 -5.8%
09/2008 20 $700 -6.5%

Interesting to me that the number sold has held pretty steady month to month. A Realtor.com search shows 106 single-family homes listed at prices ranging from $445,126 to $1,999,999.
