Waking up at 5 a.m. to elbow fellow shoppers on the Friday after Thanksgiving isn’t the only way to get great deals on gifts this holiday season. This morning L.A. Times style and fashion writer Monica Corcoran reports that ‘84% of online retailers are planning a special promotion for [the Monday after Thanksgiving], up from 72% last year. Also, 25% of those surveyed are planning one-day sales for that Monday.’

It’s called Cyber Monday, and it sure as heck beats Black Friday.
