Southern California’s median home price bounced a bit, to $249,000, in May. That was up from $247,000 in April, and marked the fifth month in a row prices held around $250,000.

The slight increase actually reflects prices falling at the high-end of the market. That’s boosted sales in that segment, which raises the median, as the market share of low-priced foreclosed homes shrinks a bit. Read the rest of The Times’ report on home prices here.
