Samantha Peszek, always a gymnast

Peszek, who is in fourth place after the first round of gymnastics’ nationals, is the daughter of Ed and Luan Peszek. Luan was a college gymnast and was the public relations director for USA Gymnastics in the early 1990s. So it’s no surprise that Samantha got her start in gymnastics early. ‘My mom enrolled me in classes almost as soon as I could walk,’ Samantha says.
