Add locusts to China’s list of calamities. After the earthquake came the floods. And now comes an insect plague. But nothing will stop the Olympics. As The Times’ Mark Magnier reports from Beijing, each new setback has threatened the Games, less than five weeks away. ‘This sure has been a weird year,’ said Ma Zhijie, 20, who works in a coffee shop. ‘There are so many disasters, it’s hard to know what’s happening.’
