BEIJING -- Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser were prohibitive favorites to win the men’s beach volleyball competition until they lost their first match here. But they have rallied nicely, going undefeated since to advance to the final.
On Wednesday, they won their semifinal match, 21-11, 21-13, over Jorge Terceiro and Renato Gomes of Georgia.
The No. 1-ranked women’s team, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, play for their second consecutive gold medal Thursday.
