Vancouver Olympic hockey schedule is set

The International Ice Hockey Federation released the schedules for the men’s and women’s hockey tournaments at the Vancouver Games.

The U.S. and Switzerland will open the men’s tournament, commemorating the 90th anniversary of their first Olympic matchup, at the 1920 Antwerp (Belgium) Games. For the entire men’s schedule, click here.

On the women’s side, Turin silver medalist Sweden will open the women’s schedule against Switzerland. For the entire women’s schedule, click here.

Helene Elliott was with the Los Angeles Times’ Sports department from 1989 to 2024, first as a staff writer and then, starting in 2006, as a columnist.
