Opinion: New Jersey votes, Glendale applauds

CNN has called Democrat Robert “Bobby” Menendez for the tightly contested senatorial race New Jersey. Menendez Armenian-American community, for his vote to place a “hold” on the confirmation of Richard Hoagland as ambassador to Armenia, because Hoagland has refused to recognize the Armenian genocide as “genocide.” In a recent meeting with Armenian-American community leaders in Glendale, I was told that the Menendez race was perhaps the most important one that they were watching.
