The announcement out of New York today concerning Mariano Rivera’s surgery makes it sounds as if he’ll be fine by the time pitchers and catchers report for spring training.

But will he be fine to close for the Yankees?

And if it looks like he won’t, will the Yankees go after Angels free agent Frankie Rodriguez?
