What I said in my last post about Jimmy Rollins and how the Dodgers needed to make sure he, Chase Utley and Ryan Howard didn’t come alive tonight?

Well, Rollins lashed a single to lead this game off. Jason Werth followed with a single of his own. Then Utley hit a clutch double to right field, bringing Rollins home. Up came Rollins, who grounded out but knocked in Werth.

Phillies up, 2-0, just like that.

How’s the Dodgers crowd taking all of this?

Well, the crowd has a different feel to it tonight. Maybe it’s because a lot of people who planned to come to this game have homes in the areas affected by the raging fires that ringed the city today. Maybe it’s because this is a Monday night and the traffic is so thick it has held up some of the faithful. But, for whatever reason, the fans have been slower to arrive tonight, and in the first inning, there are still sections of the upper deck where you can see wide swaths of open seats.

Down 2-zip this early, there are some stunned, blank faces in the crowd right now.
