I just gave my editor a copy of one of my all-time favorite movies, ‘King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters,’ which was produced by my friend Ed Cunningham, a former NFL center. If you don’t know about it, you should. It’s a documentary about the hotly contested world record for the classic arcade game Donkey Kong, and it’s terrific -- and good for the whole family.

Don’t worry if you’re not into video games -- I’m not a huge fan -- because the human story is so good that it’s worth it.

Cunningham, who now works as a college football analyst for ESPN, has been a pal since his days at the University of Washington, when he wrote the forward to my book (available at the bottom of bargain bins near you.) His first movie, ‘New York Doll,’ is also a great rental.
