Shameless self-promotion, and it’s kind of cute

Now, I’m not into self-promotion. I’d like to think my actions speak louder than my words. And that I’ll continue to be rewarded for that characteristic. Well, except at evaluation time, when Tribune Co. dangles that 1.5% pay raise -- if you qualify. I tend to be a self-promoter at that time of year. But, honest, that’s it.

Now, Amy Borkowsky (pictured above) has taken it to a new level. The comedian and former advertising copy writer is a fortysomething, never-been-married woman (red flag!) living in New York who is trying to raise $3 million so she can buy advertising time during the Super Bowl in her search for a husband. She’s more than $2.999 million short of her goal.
