Galaxy midfielder David Beckham scored his first goal for AC Milan on Sunday as the Italian team romped to a 4-1 victory on the road at Bologna.

By netting Milan’s fourth goal, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star joined a select group of players who have scored a goal in each of the world’s top three leagues -- England’s Premier League, Spain’s La Liga and Italy’s Serie A.

‘It was a truly special goal, just as it is special for me to be playing here’ in Italy, said Beckham, who is on a two-month loan from the Galaxy to AC Milan.

Brazilian teenager Pato set up the goal with a surging run up the middle before passing the ball to Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf on his right. Seedorf, who had scored Milan’s tying goal, immediately passed to a wide-open Beckham, who raced into the penalty area and unleashed a rising shot that beat Bologna goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli as it flashed just inside the right post.

Kaka, having brushed aside a potential $150-million move to Manchester City last week, scored twice for third-place Milan, which remained right on the heels of Serie A leaders Inter Milan and Juventus.
