The Lakers have joked that the reason why they have lost the last five consecutive games to the Trail Blazers in Portland is because it’s always raining when they come up here.

Well, maybe things will change.

Early this morning, it snowed.

So now if the Lakers beat the Trail Blazers tonight, they can say it was because of the change in weather.

But, as the day wore on, it stopped snowing and it began to rain. Even later, it stopped raining and the sun came out for just a little bit.

It became overcast this afternoon, and cold.

Perhaps the real reason why the Lakers have lost in Portland is because the Trail Blazers have played so well at home over the years.

This season, Portland is 26-5 at the Rose Garden.
