Ariza will not be suspended; Odom’s fate still in the air

Trevor Ariza won’t be suspended by the NBA for his hit on Portland Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez in the Lakers’ dismal, 111-94 loss Monday night. Ariza’s flagrant foul not only injured Fernandez, but it also sparked an on-court scuffle between the two teams before Ariza was ejected.

Of course, the Lakers aren’t in the clear just yet -- the NBA is expected to announce later today whether it will suspend Lamar Odom for leaving the bench in the aftermath of Ariza’s foul. Click on latimes.com/sports later for the decision.
