Historic USC victory?

A USC assistant basketball coach, making small talk, just told me that if the Trojans beat Michigan State in the NCAA tournament today, it would be the biggest victory in USC history.

It would be close, but the edge probably still goes to the Trojans beating Lew Alcindor and UCLA, giving the Bruins their first loss at Pauley Pavilion, in 1969.
