Wouldn’t it be something if the fifth- and sixth-place teams in the Pac-10 were the ones to best represent the conference in the NCAA tournament?

Arizona, widely slammed as the team least worthy of its NCAA invite, is already in the Sweet 16. Now it’s up to USC to win its seventh straight game, upset second-seeded Michigan State and move on.

In other conferences, it’s the top teams who are winning -- North Carolina and Duke, Pitt and Connecticut, Kansas, Xavier.
