Jamie McCourt isn’t one for playing by the rules. You know, the rules that say a woman never discusses her age or her weight in public.

McCourt, the Dodgers’ chief executive officer, is scheduled to throw out the first pitch today as the baseball competition opens in the Maccabiah Games, widely nicknamed the Jewish Olympics.

According to this report in the Jewish Journal of Los Angeles, the Dodgers have picked up ‘the entire cost of the baseball tournament’ in addition to providing Dodgers memorabilia for participants and fans. That’s a wonderful gesture, and you can click on the link above to read more about McCourt’s Jewish background and how the Dodgers got involved in the Maccabiah Games.

As for the rules: McCourt is 5-foot-2. In the report, she volunteers her weight -- 98.5 pounds, she says, thanks to daily swimming and walking -- and then asks the reporter to guess her age. The reporter says 45.

‘No, 55,’ McCourt said. She did so, the Journal reported, ‘with a triumphant smile.’
