USC had to wait nearly a month between games at the Coliseum, but the Trojans prevailed in a 42-36 victory over Oregon State.

The Trojans beat Washington State at the Coliseum on Sept. 26 and then played at California. USC had an open date the next week and played at Notre Dame on Oct. 17 before finally returning home.

‘It seems perfectly familiar,’ Coach Pete Carroll said after the victory over Oregon State. ‘The grass was lovely and cushy.’

USC plays consecutive road games at Oregon and Arizona State before finishing the season at home against Stanford, UCLA and Arizona.

The Trojans have not concluded a regular season with that many consecutive home games since 1987, when they won four in a row in Larry Smith‘s first season as coach.
