With Jean-Sebastien Giguere ready to make his return, the Ducks reassigned goalie Justin Pogge back to Bakersfield of the ECHL on Monday.

Giguere has missed six games because of a strained groin muscle he aggravated during a loss to Columbus on Oct. 24. The former playoff MVP has been practicing with the team since Nov. 2 and Coach Randy Carlyle said Giguere would be ready for backup duty against New Jersey on Wednesday.

Pogge, who was recalled by the Ducks on Oct. 26, didn’t make an appearance for the team.
