Courtesy of the Pittsburgh Penguins, here are some quotes from Ducks Coach Randy Carlyle after his team lost, 5-2, to end its trip at 0-3-1.

Q: Are you glad to get home?
A: I don’t know if we’re glad to get home. I just think that in assessing our performance we didn’t execute at an NHL level, it’s as simple as that. We made poor decisions with the puck, we didn’t clear the puck, we didn’t pass the puck, we turned the puck over and gave them scoring chances continuously from the critical area. Again tonight, discipline is a factor - we’re taking penalties 200 feet from our zone. We’re trying to get back in the hockey game in the third period and we took two penalties in the offensive zone.

Q: Why do you think the guys are not doing well?
A: You’re always searching for answers, searching for ways to turn things around. We’re going to take a little different approach than we have. We’ve tried to apply less pressure in these situations and I think now we’re going to go back to old time hockey methods.

Q: Is there anything from the road trip to take back -- positive or negative?
A: Before tonight the positives were we were in the hockey games, the ones we had played previously. But tonight we were not in the hockey game at all and that’s the biggest negative. We weren’t in this game at all, as simple as that.
