Bobby Ryan continues to illustrate why he’s the future face of the Ducks.

The young forward scored his 14th goal of the season and 50th career NHL goal in spectacular fashion during the Ducks’ 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Here’s some video of the goal in case you missed it (and a nice pass by Sheldon Brookbank to set it up):

This is definitely goal-of-the-year worthy, just like the one he scored last year when he schooled the Kings’ Peter Harrold.

I realize those ‘rebuilding’ murmurs have been getting louder in Anaheim, with the team bogged down at the bottom of the Western Conference, but I hope General Manager Bob Murray never entertains the thought of getting rid of Ryan.

Once Teemu Selanne and Scott Niedermayer decide to begin their official Hall of Fame countdown, Ryan (along with the other Ryan and Corey Perry) should be the foundation on which the Ducks build their future.
