Reliever Jose Arredondo, who will undergo reconstructive elbow surgery that will sideline him for 2010, and pitcher Dustin Moseley, who missed most of the 2009 season because of injury, were not tendered contracts by the Angels.

Infielder Matt Brown, who hit .245 with 13 home runs and 69 runs batted in at triple-A Salt Lake in 2009, also was not tendered a contract. The three players are now free agents.

Arredondo emerged as a bullpen force as a rookie in 2008, going 10-2 with a 1.62 earned run average in 52 games, but he struggled with his command in 2009, lost velocity on his fastball because of an elbow injury and pitched so sporadically - -he went 2-3 with a 6.00 ERA in 43 games -- he was left off the team’s playoff roster.

Moseley went 1-0 with a 4.30 ERA in three starts in April, but a nerve problem in his throwing shoulder and a hip injury sidelined him for the rest of the season. The right-hander pitched out of the rotation and the bullpen for the Angels.
