NHL set to open season in Europe, again

For the fourth consecutive year, the NHL will start the season in Europe.

The NHL announced Tuesday that six teams -- the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks and Phoenix Coyotes -- will begin the 2010-11 season overseas.

Carolina and Minnesota will play two games in Helsinki on Oct. 7 and 8; San Jose will play Columbus in Stockholm on Oct. 8 and 9; and Boston will play Phoenix in Prague on Oct. 9 and 10.
