No score after one at Minnesota, but some interesting numbers

No score after one period between the Kings and Wild, but the period produced some interesting statistics:

By playing 17 minutes and 34 seconds, Jonathan Quick passed the 4,000-minute mark for the season. He’s the second NHL goalie to reach that level following New Jersey’s Martin Brodeur, who’s at 4,070 minutes and 22 seconds.

Quick is within reach of the Kings’ single-season record for minutes for a goalie, 4,107 played by Rogie Vachon in the 1977-78 season.

This was Quick’s 68th game, leaving him three short of the club single-season record of 71 set by Felix Potvin in the 2001-02 season. The Kings have seven games left, but Quick isn’t scheduled to play Tuesday at Nashville. Jonathan Bernier, called up from Manchester on Monday because of Erik Ersberg’s back strain, is scheduled to start against the Predators.

The Kings had a 6-5 edge in shots in the first period here.
