Comments on The Homicide Report have reached such a volume that they overwhelm our ability to manage them at times, so please allow for delays in posting. Also, thank you to all for what appears to be new restraint in the use of profanity. Previously, large numbers of comments had to be screened out for this reason, but the problem has diminished.

Also, please note that many of the homicide reports are based on preliminary information from law enforcement, and details are subject to change.

Finally, HR welcomes comments from those with first-hand information on homicides or homicide victims. Families wishing to add biographical information or send photos should e-mail jill.leovy@latimes.com or call (213) 237-6625.
