Jose Navarrete, 23, a young Latino man, was shot and killed at 4615 E. Alondra Blvd. in an unincorporated area of Compton about 2:25 a.m. Sunday, June 15. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
