Raul Gonzales, 35, a Latino man, was shot outside a bar in the 100 block of East Rosecrans in Compton about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6.

Gonzales worked at the bar as a doorman, said Deputy Denise Fuchs of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau. She said a patron at the bar lured Gonzales outside of the bar, then shot him several times. Gonzales was hit several times in the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The gunman was described as Latino man, Fuchs said. She said there were no further details about the gunman or a motive for the shooting.
