Robert Ramirez, 18, a Latino, was shot several times at Whittier Boulevard and McBride Avenue in East Los Angeles about 5:33 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6.

According to L.A. County Sheriff’s Department officials, Ramirez and another man, also Latino, were shot several times. Ramirez was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day. The second man was also taken to a hospital and was released after being treated. Authorities did not have details about suspects or the motive for the shooting.
