South Gate: Juan Longoria, 33

Juan Longoria, a 33-year-old Latino, was shot in the head and killed on Thursday, May 28, in the 5300 block of Ledgewood Avenue in South Gate, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Longoria was discovered shortly after 10 p.m. in his driveway, according Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives were assisting the South Gate Police Department in investigating the circumstances of the death.
