Edgar Kipp Eastman, a 54-year-old black man, was shot several times in the 29000 block of Pioneer Boulevard in Lakewood and died on Friday, June 5, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Eastman was sitting in a parked car in front of a liquor store shortly before 10 a.m. when another car pulled up and someone fired several shots at him, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Eastman was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies arrested two black men in connection with the killing after pulling them over in the suspect vehicle, officials said.
