See, I knew Colby Cameron had it in him.
After ho-hum outings in his first two games, Cameron proved he has to be considered one of the most talented QBs in the region by orchestrating a late-game scoring drive that pushed Newbury Park to a 26-20 victory over Oak Park.
Check out the story on Cameron’s clutch performance that’s gotta make some of the pundits out there believe the Panthers are the favorite for the Marmonte League title come November.
As for Oak Park, it’s a talented team with a strong defense, but this game magnified a lot of people’s doubts (including mine) that it’s not ready to compete with Oaks Christian. Of course, the Lions got their own big game today, so I could be changing my tune if they get hammered (although not likely) by St. Bonaventure.
