Redlands East Valley sure knows how to put on a halftime show.

The drummers are dressed like Army men, the strings look like ‘Toy Story’ characters and the conductor is dressed like Little Bo Peep.

Now back to your regular programming.

REV kicker Trey Farquhar missed a 57-yard field goal as the first half expired, so the Wildcats still maintain a 17-7 lead. Confidence seems to be high on the REV sideline, as one of the starting linebackers was overheard saying, ‘It’s all down hill from here,’ and I figured he wasn’t referring to Dominguez’s ride home.

Chris Polk, the USC-bound receiver who is playing a lot of running back for REV this season, has eight carries for 83 yards and a touchdown.

It’s been written in this blog that Corona Centennial running back Ryan Bass is an early candidate for The Times’ player of the year, but Polk is leading his team while playing out of position.

That sound you heard was me opening another can of worms.
