Here’s one of those feel-good stories you sometimes come across. In a day and age when high school athletes are constantly uprooted because their folks think they can do better for themselves somewhere else, it’s nice to hear about a father who made a huge personal sacrifice so his son could stay at the same high school.

When my oldest son played high school football a few years ago, I would have cut off my pinkie toe before I missed a game.
