Players get suspended, one coach resigns

The aftermath of an on-the-field fight at the end of football game between Duarte and Gladstone last Friday led to the suspensions of eight players from Gladstone (1-4, 0-1) and seven, possibly eight, from Duarte (4-1, 1-0), Duarte’s Principal, Bill Martinez said. The length of each of the suspensions is one game.

Martinez also said Duarte football Coach Wardell Crutchfield has resigned his position.
