Centennial‘s bus pulled into Santa Ana Stadium at 5:47 p.m. and the Huskies took the field for pregame warm-ups about 15 minutes later.

Coach Matt Logan looked relaxed as he strolled onto the field for the first time. He was immediately interviewed by that Westphal guy who looks like Rutger Hauer.

‘I usually don’t get nervous until the second time we take the field,’ he told me during my own exclusive pregame interview.

Logan is in a good mood because tonight he’s getting the left side of his offensive line back from injury; however, that will end Centennial’s streak of two straight games with the same O-line.

You can feel the pulse rising. The Huskies just ran into the north end zone and yelled something like, ‘Booka, Chaka, Chaka’ but I could be wrong.

Now there’s something I can understand.

‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is now cranking on the Centennial sideline now, drowning out whatever funky dance music is blaring on the Mater Dei side.

Now ‘Dog Pound’ is playing. Is Centennial trying to make fun of Mater Dei’s choice of venue?
