Do you feel like watching a duel between a couple of Division I-caliber QBs? Then head over to Chaminade tonight to see the Eagles and No. 8 Notre Dame duke it out in the final nonleague game of the season for both.

Everybody from here to South Bend, Ind., apparently knows how talented Notre Dame QB Dayne Crist is, and, following last year’s injury-riddled campaign, the 6-foot-4, 225-pounder who has a missile launcher for an arm and is one of the best scramblers around has made the most of his senior season.

Heading into tonight’s contest, he’s passed for 1,413 yards and 10 TDs in addition to rushing for 295 yards and two TDs. Crist has already committed to Notre Dame University and is the third highest-rated QB in the nation by Scout.com.

Chaminade’s Ryan Griffin might not have as many flashy accolades as his cross-Valley counterpart, but he’s another 6-4 QB with incredible poise in the pocket.

Following last year’s impressive 3,000-plus yard junior season, Griffin has passed for 1,265 yards and 13 TDs. Several schools are interested in his abilities, including LSU.

Still, looking beyond the two QBs, these teams are chocked full of other talented players and this should be a good one, even though I’m siding with the Knights.

What:
Notre Dame (5-1) at Chaminade (5-1)
When: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
My prediction: Notre Dame 36, Chaminade 21
Calpreps.com prediction: Notre Dame 31, Chaminade 17
