Games still on tap for some small schools

There are a couple of small-school teams whose practice schedules have definitely been affected by the local fires, but likely will play their games as scheduled.
Kilpatrick‘s practice schedule has been disrupted because of the Canyon Fire, but its scheduled contest at L.A. Baptist is still on for Saturday.
Santa Clarita Christian hasn’t had a chance to practice since the school has been closed the last two days. However, the Cardinals’ eight-man game against Granada Hills Hillcrest Christian at Canyon HS on Saturday looks good to go at this point.
As for Vasquez, it wasn’t until I called Coach Tim Jorgensen that I realized the freelance team is idle this week. Oh well, I guess it’s always good to get confirmation on these things even when all the websites (including The Times’) are saying the Mustangs aren’t playing this week.
Unfortunately, I just heard about another flare up in the Acton area. This is ridiculous!
