Will Southern League have an L.A. or Hollywood ending?

The Southern League will have only one representative in the playoffs this season. And that contestant should emerge this week.

Hollywood (3-5, 2-0) and Los Angeles (4-4, 2-0) are the league’s only undefeated teams, and Hollywood will host Los Angeles this Friday.

Each brings a two-game winning streak into the contest. Each has struggled defensively -- Hollywood has given up more than 30 points a game, Los Angeles almost 25 points a game.

But Los Angeles, whose campus is pictured, does have a couple of defenders who could tip the game in its favor. Linebackers Kenneth Green and Massoud Shariffi have combined for 17 of the Roman’s 26 sacks. That should keep the Sheiks’ coaching staff busy this week, trying to figure out ways to block them.
