If you’re one of those types who needs constant reassuring from the media about how good a team is, you’ll be happy to know that the Jrue Holiday-led hoopsters over at Campbell Hall cracked Rivals.com‘s Fab 50 National boys’ basketball rankings at No. 49 this week.

This shouldn’t come as a shocker to anyone who’s followed basketball in Southern California over the last few years and neither should the news that Fairfax (No. 8), Taft (16), Dominguez (18), Mater Dei (23) and Westchester (36) were ranked ahead of the Vikings.

Still, Campbell Hall is in good hands with the 6-foot-3, UCLA-bound Holiday, who looks primed for another big season after averaging 22.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists as a junior.

And he’ll have plenty of help in Campbell Hall’s quest for its third Division IV state title in four years. Returners Dallas Rutherford and Keegan Hornbuckle give the Vikings the kind of depth and size that makes other teams tremble.

The only bad thing is we’ve got to wait almost a month before these boys start slammin’ and jammin’ again.

Here’s some YouTube highlights of Holiday lighting it up last year against Taft:
