For some reason, St. Bonaventure RB Darrell Scott, pictured, didn’t see any playing time on the Seraphs’ first possession of the game, but he made an immediate impact when St. Bonny got the ball a second time.

On only his second carry, Scott shot right through the middle of the Saugus defense and ran unabated to a 52-yard TD to extend St. Bonaventure’s lead to 10-0. I guess the Centurions finally got a first-hand look at why Scott is considered one of top collegiate prospects around.

However, St. Bonny illustrated in the first quarter it didn’t need Scott to get on the scoreboard. The Isiah Burton-led running attack drove the Seraphs into the red zone before kicker Loren Powers nailed a 28-yard field goal.
