Oaks Christian leads 7-0 at the end of first quarter

Thanks to a 51-yard TD run by sophomore RB Malcolm Jones, pictured, Oaks Christian leads Nordhoff, 7-0, at the end of the first quarter here at the Northwest Division finals.

Oaks Christian is dominating the play at the line of scrimmage, especially on offense, thanks to hulking linemen Trace Biskin, Niall Padden and Erik Kohler. As a result, Jones already has 123 yards in only eight carries.

Nordhoff’s offense has been unable to get much going against the Lions’ defense, but the Rangers did stop Oaks Christian from scoring on its first drive thanks to a third down sack by LB Phil Long.
