Palmdale made an unlikely, but impressive run in the Southern Section playoffs and Malcom Culver was largely, though not solely, responsible for helping the Falcons reach the Western Division title game before a disappointing 42-12 loss to St. Paul over the weekend. All, however, is not lost.

Culver opened plenty of eyes with his play during the postseason and NCAA Division I scouts appear to be particularly interested. Visits to San Diego St. and San Jose St. are in the works for the near future. Fresno St. and Utah are also in the mix. Helping matters is the versatility of the 6-foot-2, 190 pound senior, who not only excelled at receiver, but was an above average defensive back and return specialist this season. Where Culver plays at the next level and for who is still a mystery. One thing is certain, his productive play over the past month or so certainly didn’t hurt his stock.
