Hart QB B.R. Holbrook was offered a scholarship during an official visit to New Mexico on Saturday and said he would ‘probably end up taking it’ sometime soon. He said he’s going to give himself a week to think about it and see if any other offers come in.

It’s great to see an NCAA Division I program has finally put an offer on the table for Holbrook, even though I’m still perplexed why some other big-name schools haven’t fallen in love with this guy.

In my opinion, only Notre Dame QB Dayne Crist [who’s committed to Notre Dame University] and Corona Centennial‘s Matt Scott [Arizona] have a better balance of passing and running ability. Holbrook is definitely the kind of guy who has the tools necessary to be an asset for any big-time collegiate program.

He played a vital role in pushing the Indians to their first divisional title appearance since 2005, passing for 2,656 yards and 25 TDs in addition to running for 739 yards and eight TDs.
