With all the basketball tournaments and football recruiting news going on over the last few days, I’ve had a difficult time covering all the bases. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to overlook the spectacular performance Dos Pueblos, ranked No. 4 in the Southern Section’s Division II preseason poll, put up in the Holiday Cup tournament at Newport Harbor last weekend.

Dos Pueblos won the two-day water polo palooza, defeating tournament host Newport Harbor, ranked No. 3 in Division I, 7-6, in the semifinals before sinking top-ranked Foothill in the final, 7-5.

The 16-team tournament wasn’t just about Dos Pueblos proving it’s a challenger for the Division II title -- it also served as the offical coming-out pool party for freshman Kiley Neushul, who scored a combined seven goals in the wins over the Sailors and the Knights. And based on Dan Albano’s comments on the OC Varsity blog, Neushul is already one of the most dominant players in the region. Just see for yourself:
