Someone on the sidelines at a Saugus football asked me a simple question: ‘Who’s got better hair: Newbury Park’s Muscarella brothers or Saugus’ Ryan and Justin McKillop (pictured)?’

It was definitely one of those questions that was a little out of my range of so-called expertise. Who do I look like, Vidal Sassoon? Plus, all of these guys are wearing helmets most of the time, so how would I know?

But the one thing I definitely know about the McKillop brothers is their tendency to hit opposing RBs and QBs like runaway freight trains, and I’m glad to see all that hair-raising talent is paying off.

Gerry Gittelson at the Daily News is reporting the McKillops have committed to Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. It’s great to hear the twins will be taking their tackling roadshow to the college ranks next fall after combining for 199 tackles and 12 sacks last season.

As for the hair question, I’ll have a crack at it: I think the Muscarellas take it by a very slim margin thanks to their Joe Namath-esque locks. See for yourself.
