Hamilton on fire early for Dominguez at Nike Extravaganza

Jordan Hamilton scored 13 points in the first quarter for Dominguez, helping the third-ranked Dons to a 17-11 lead over fourth-ranked Santa Margarita in the Nike Extravaganza Saturday afternoon at Mater Dei High.

Hamilton, a 6-7 junior forward who transferred from Dorsey in the off-season, sank a 25-foot three-pointer and earlier had a steal that led to a three-point play.

Students are walking through the stands selling red seat cushions inscribed with the Mater Dei’s logo. Do you think they made the bleachers in this super-deluxe new arena extra-hard on purpose?
